whzzz launches Social Networking Resource - Iconize Yourself

[prMac.com] New York, New York - whzzz, which is pronounced "wiz," is a fresh and unique concept, that takes the social aspects of the internet to the next convenience level. This web service enables internet users to simplify their online content by combining it all in just one page - their whzzz page. As part of the user registration, the service relies on a patent-pending icon system, which has users define themselves through their individual combination of three whzzz icons. The service launched today as a beta-version.

According to Mintel's January 2009 Social Networking Study, 37% of all social networking users have created three or more than three social networking sites, not counting non-networking sites. From an offline perspective it's hard to know which sites someone is on, given the sheer amount of available options. And on top of that, finding the right user account on a site can be difficult if a user has a popular first and last name.

That's where whzzz comes in: whzzz users can make all their online profiles and content accessible through just one page, by linking them to their whzzz page. People accessing the whzzz page can browse to all linked sites - to most without leaving the whzzz site. For example, they can open someone's Facebook page within the whzzz frame and with just one click switch to this user's YouTube site, while still remaining on whzzz.

During the sign-up process, whzzz users define themselves through a combination of three whzzz icons, which they choose based on what aspects of their person they want to highlight. The icons stem from a library of hundreds of neat icons, reflecting attributes such as personalities, professions, interests, hobbies, music tastes, sports etc. A user's icon combination helps other people to access and identify the whzzz page. A user's whzzz page can also be accessed by simply clicking on a whzzz URL.

whzzz also offers personalized whzzz cards (business cards) and t-shirts as a way for users to share their icons with others and express them publicly in the "real world." whzzz merchandize can conveniently be ordered from the online store.
