The new Apple Extreme Base Station is more powerful which carries the signal at a greater distance with significant improvement. You can never have too much signal strength.

We found a way to fix the modest receptive sensitivity and transmission capability by bringing the antennas outside the box. In-house testing showed up to 3 times better signal strength then that of the built-in antennas.

Set the height and width of the satellite antenna. 2. Choose a TV satellite. 3. Test if there is a direct line of sight to the satellite. 4. Measure and set the azimuth and elevation. SatFinder employs the device's built-in GPS, compass, accelerometer, and video camera. The app is compatible only with iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS.
