The new iCON 461 USB modem offers download speeds up to 7.2 Mbit/s and upload speeds up to 5.76 Mbit/s for most 3G networks around the globe. The modem features an integrated GPS chip as well as a MicroSD card slot to double as a USB memory stick. iCON 461 comes with launch2net Premium for Mac OS X, a connection manager.

Jan 22, 2011 - Texas based Carnation Software has announced that its MacWise terminal emulation for Mac is now available in the Mac App Store. MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal, connected to a host computer directly, by modem, local area network or over the Internet with telnet or ssh secure shell. MacWise works with Intel Macs and MacBooks. Connect to the host via serial, modem, telnet, ssh, via the internet or local connection. The App Store version requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later.
