Feb 18, 2012 - Peppered Software has released a new version of their outlining software, Scribe. The developers are calling v1.1.1 a maintenance release. It is coming very close on the heels of their recent 1.1 release, which was featured by Apple for three weeks in Mac App Stores across the world. Scribe is an outlining application for Mac OSX. It allows users to quickly outline their thoughts, take quick notes, and organize their ideas. It also records audio and syncs the recording to items in the outline.

This latest version allows users to capture live audio and sync it to text in their outlines. Audio recording is accessible through a newly designed audio toolbar. Keeping in line with Scribe's minimalist philosophy, the interface doesn't add clutter or distract you from outlining. With audio recorded into the application, Scribe lets you jump to any place in the audio from the text associated with it.

Scrawl is a menu bar app for quick access and designed specifically for iCloud so that it will save and sync notes across all of Macs with the same iCloud ID. With the ability to handle an unlimited amount of notes, Scrawl can easily search not only the title of each note, but also the note's content. Scrawl was featured by Apple recently on the Mac App Store.
