The player can Add, Remove, Change, or Swap any letter in the original word, repeating the process to continue making new words from three to seven letters long. Uncommon letters have higher values, and score multipliers increase with each word made. Competition play enforces a ten-second limit per word, but the limit is adjustable.

Nov 24, 2011 - JL Software has announced Jumbled Word Helper MAX 2.4.1 for iOS, an update to their popular Games app that instantly unscrambles words 4 - 15 letters long. In MAX mode, the app also lists ALL the 4 - 15 letter words that can be made from the scrambled entry, including those words containing fewer letters than the entry. Remaining in the Top 40 Word Games for more than a year, this update adds comprehensive dictionary definitions for most of the 150,000 words in the app's database.
